Scheduler Configuration
The Job Scheduler allows you to execute complex and diverse types of business logic at specific dates and times. It is a highly convenient and powerful tool designed to automate repetitive or time-sensitive tasks within Salesforce, empowering you to streamline workflows, optimize limit consumption, and save valuable time.
Key Capabilities
UI-Driven Scheduling
You can schedule both standard operations (such as Text Cleanup or Flow execution) and custom Apex logic directly from the application UI, without needing to write dedicated scheduling classes.
Execution Variants (Standard vs. Batch)
To ensure optimal performance and strict adherence to Salesforce governor limits, almost every scheduler job provides two execution modes:
- Standard Variant: Optimized for high-frequency, low-volume tasks.
- Batch Variant: Designed to safely process large data volumes (thousands of records) without hitting system limits.
Built-in Error Handling
Monitoring asynchronous processes like Scheduled or Batch Apex can be challenging. The Breezz Scheduler simplifies this by automatically capturing runtime exceptions and DML errors. These are stored in dedicated Error Log records, allowing you to easily track and monitor job health directly from the UI.
Scheduler Creation
You can configure Job Scheduler in both ways:
Option 1: From Dashbaord
- Open Breezz App.
- Go to Breezz Setup Tab.
- Click Schedule Job button.

Option 2: From Sidebar
- Open Breezz App.
- Go to Breezz Setup Tab.
- Click Scheduler Jobs button
- Click New
After clicking New, the configuration form will appear.
Scheduler Configuration

Basic configuration consist of:
- Name: scheduler job name.
- Description: An area designated for providing a detailed description of the functionality’s underlying logic.
- Job Type : Specifies the type of scheduled job.
- Is Active : Determines the active status of the process. When inactive, processes are removed from the Scheduler Jobs queue.
- Feature Availability : A special metadata binding that controls when the functionality is active. Enter the name of a created Breezz Feature Toggle in this field (not required).
- Execution Interval : Determines the process execution interval. Offers various options, including minute intervals, hourly intervals, or specific times and days of the week.
- Record Level Security: Specifies the sharing context for DML operations within the step group. Available options are with sharing, without sharing, and inherited sharing.
- Scheduler Job/Batch Class Name : Specifies the process class name. The class must implement the
SchedulerJobinterface or in case of batch operationsSchedulerBatchabstract. - Job Configuration : Should contain SOQL query to choose records to process. For clean-up jobs, it should contain a SOQL query determining which records to remove. For Step Groups, it contains a SOQL query specifying which records to process. The query must include
SELECTandFROMclauses, but cannot useLIMIT,OFFSET, orGROUP BYstatements. - Record Configuration : Additional scheduler job configuration for specyfic job types.
- Related Object : Additional scheduler job configuration (not required).
ℹ️ Additional settings: Some operations require additional setup as SOQL query or Class names. When you choose kind of job - inputs will appear automatically.
Scheduler Job Types
You can schedule different kind of jobs. Some of them requrie SOQL query and others put more details as Class names. After choose specifick kind of job the additinal tab will be open. Avaiable options:
- Custom: Requires the Scheduler Job Class Name of an Apex class implementing the
SchedulerJobinterface, defining the execution logic. - Custom - Batch: Requires the Scheduler Batch Class Name of an Apex class extending the
SchedulerBatchabstract class. Requires a SOQL query in the Job Configuration field to define which records will be processed. - Cleanup - Batch: Deletes significant data volumes by segmenting them into manageable chunks. Requires a SOQL Query defining the records to be deleted.
- Async Job Queue Processor: Activates asynchronous jobs at set time intervals.
- Steps Group: Configures a Step Group to execute at intervals for records retrieved via a defined SOQL Query. Designed for smaller datasets.
- Steps Group - Batch: Similar to Steps Group, but optimized for larger datasets.
- Step: Configures a single Step to execute at intervals for records retrieved via a defined SOQL Query. Designed for smaller datasets.
- Steps - Batch: Similar to Step, but intended for larger datasets.
- Autolaunched Flow: Sets up a flow to run at intervals for records retrieved via a defined SOQL Query. Suitable for smaller datasets.
- Autolaunched Flow - Batch: Similar to Autolaunched Flow, but designed for larger datasets.
- Create Record: Creates a new record based on criteria specified in the Record Configuration section for records retrieved via a defined SOQL Query.
- Create Record - Batch: Similar to Create Record, but optimized for handling larger data volumes.
- Modify Context Record: Edits the context record based on criteria specified in the Record Configuration section.
- Modify Context Record - Batch: Similar to Modify Context Record, but designed for larger datasets.
- Anonymous Apex: Executes a specified snippet of Apex code in the Anonymous Apex context.
- Text Field Cleanup: Cleans up specified text fields for records retrieved via a defined SOQL Query, based on conditions specified in the Record Configuration section.
- Text Field Cleanup - Batch: Similar to Text Field Cleanup, but optimized for larger data volumes.
- Generate UUID: Generates a universally unique identifier (UUID) and stores it in a field defined in the Record Configuration section.
- Generate UUID - Batch: Similar to Generate UUID, but optimized for handling larger data volumes.
- Concatenate Fields: Merges specified fields into a single field based on conditions specified in the Record Configuration section.
- Concatenate Fields - Batch: Similar to Concatenate Fields, but optimized for larger data volumes.
- Phone Validation : Feature which validate phones numbers based on setup.
- Phone Validation - Batch : Feature which validate phones numbers based on setup, but in batch.
- Email Validation : Feature which validate email addresses based on setup.
- Email Validation - Batch : Feature which validate email addresses based on setup, but in batch.
ℹ️ Default Step Group Configuration: If the running user does not have access to the object on which the DML operation is performed, and inherited sharing is selected, the operation will fail. To find out more about these three options, we recommend reviewing the Salesforce documentation.
SOQL Query
Some of jobs require SQOL query to determine records which will be processed. The tab will be automatically open when you choose one of these job types:
- Cleanup Batch
- Step Group & Batch
- Step & Batch
- Autolanched Flow & Batch
- Create Record & Batch
- Modify Context Record & Batch
- Text Field Cleanup & Batch
- Concatenate Fields & Batch
- Phone Validation & Batch
- Email Validation & Batch
You can easily switch between SOQL Query configurator and Advanced SOQL Query which allow you to write SOQL statements directly.

Advanced Batch Settings
Job Sceduler allow additional batch configuration. If the option is avaiable, tab will be automatly added.
Avaiable options:
- Process Chunk Size: Process Chunk Size Async Limit Threshold [0%-100%] Enable Default Queueable Finalizer
- Async Limit Threshold [0%-100%]: Async Apex job will be executed only when the actual Platform Async Limit is lower than the provided threshold.
- Enable Default Queueable Finalizer: Enables default Queueable finalizer which saves Unhandled APEX exceptions in the Async Jobs
Avaiable for:
- Step Group
- Autolanched flow
- Create Record & Batch
- Modify Context Record
Options:
- Process Chunk Size: Process Chunk Size Async Limit Threshold [0%-100%] Enable Default Queueable Finalizer
- Async Limit Threshold [0%-100%]: Async Apex job will be executed only when the actual Platform Async Limit is lower than the provided threshold.
- Query Limit: A maximum number of records that could be queried in the single processing iteration. The system will create Query Limit / Chunk Size Async job processes. 0 value means that the System will try to query ALL records.
